Applications of the LUMENESC™ Platform
The LUMENESC™ Platform can be used in the same manner as the CFU-F assay, but has significantly greater flexibility and versatility.
The following list is by no means limited.
- Assessing the ability of hematopoietic stroma to support target cells
- Assessing the ability of various growth factors and cytokines to induce differentiation of MSC into different cell types, e.g. osteocytes, chondrocytes, adipocytes, muscle and neuronal cells.
- Assessing the supporting growth of hematopoietic stroma after radiation or chemotherapy.
- Assessing the MSC in stem cell products for bone marrow transplantation and tissue regeneration.
- Assessing toxicity to the MSC system as a result of drug administration, environmental and other toxins as an indicator of lympho-hematopoietic potential malfunction.
