Assays for Mesenchymal Stem Cell (MSC) Applications

LUMENESC™-96 Research

LUMENESC

LUMENESC™-96 is an assay for the Mesenchymal Stem Cell (MSC) System. LUMENESC™-96 is based on the proven ATP bioluminescence HALO® Platform and detects the proliferation status and/or potential of MSC. These stem cells can be grown in small- or large-scale culture and then transfered to the 96-well plates provided to measure their proliferation status or they can be grown directly in the 96-well plates. Like HALO®, LUMENESC™ is fully standardized against an external ATP standard. When induced into differentiated functional cells such as hematopoietic stroma, osteocytes, chondrocytes, adipocytes, muscle cells or neuronal cells, LUMENESC™-96 can be used to determine loss of proliferation capacity and can be multiplexed in order to assess differentiation capability.

LUMENESC™-96 QC

LUMENESC-96 QC

LUMENESC™-96 QC is the only quality control assay to determine the "quality" of MSC by measuring their proliferation status using an ATP-based bioluminescence signal detection system. The MSCs are responsible for provide the hematopoietic stroma that is an absolute requirement for a functioning lympho-hematopoietic system. The presence of MSC in an umbilical cord blood or bone marrow product can aid engraftment of the lympho-hematopoietic stem cells. The MSC are also thought to provide an immunologiocal advantage. LUMENESC™-96 QC is similar to HALO®-96 SPC-QC.
