ComparaTOX™

ComparaTOX
ComparaTOX™ or Predictive In Vitro Cross-Platform Comparative Toxicity Testing is the unique fusion of the HALO® Hemotoxicity, LUMENESC™-Tox and LumiSTEM™-Tox Platforms into one powerful system designed to be part of ADME/Tox screening during drug discovery and early development or environmental toxicity screening.

The ComparaTOX™ Platform allows multiple target cells from a large number of different cell systems to be analyzed simultaneously to detect and measure toxic effects of compounds and other agents. Since all three assays, HALO®, LUMENESC™ and LumiSTEM™ utilize the same instrument-based, ATP bioluminescence signal detection system, compounds tested on different cell systems can be directly compared and ranked in order of comparative toxicity, thereby providing a valuable decision-making tool during early screening.

The ability to test large numbers of compounds on fresh, primary human target cells in vitro provides the best ability to predict potential toxic side effects prior to performing human clinical trials. ComparaTOX™ takes this capability to a new level.
For more information on the 3 platforms that make up ComparaTOX™, go to HALO®, LUMENESC™ and LumiSTEM™. In addition, there is more information on ComparaTOX™ in our Applications section of the our website.

Since ComparaTOX™ combines HALO®, LUMENESC™ and LumiSTEM™, all the characteristics of the new, 3rd generation luminescence reagent are incorporated into the platform.

ComparaTOX™ is available as a full contract research service or can be performed in-house using our ComparaTOX™ Kits. ComparaTOX™ can be performed using 96- or 384-well plate formats. Please call HemoGenix® to discuss your needs in more detail.
