ComparaTOX™ - Comparative Toxicity Testing

ComparaTOX™

Predictive In Vitro Cross-Platform Comparative
Toxicity Testing
ComparaTOX

By performing ComparaTOX™ during drug discovery screening on primary human cells, more relevant information on potential human toxic side effects can be obtained very early in the drug discovery and development pipeline than ever before. This allows precious time, animals and cost to be saved, but more importantly, provides added safety for the patient, prior to clinical trials.

During ADME/Tox and lead optimization, potential drug candidates are tested on a wide variety of cell types from tissues and organs, usually using different assay readouts that cannot be compared to each other.

HemoGenix® has combined its three ATP-based bioluminescence platforms into one powerful and unique predictive toxicity testing platform that can detect, predict and rank potential toxicity of virtually any agent tested on more than 50 cell types derived from up to 14 different tissue and organ systems.

ComparaTOX™ is the HemoGenix® designation for "Predictive In Vitro, Cross-Platform Comparative Toxicity Testing". HemoGenix® provides ComparaTOX™ either as a predictive toxicity high-throughput contract research service or an assay kit using 96- or 384-well plate formats.

Since HALO®, LUMENESC™ and LumiSTEM™ utilize the same standardized ATP-based bioluminescence readout, potential toxicity results from the different platforms can be directly compared with each other.
