Hemotoxicity Testing for Environmental Agents
The same in vitro platforms developed by HemoGenix® to detect and predict hemotoxicity for biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies can be used to complement toxicity testing for environmental agents. Such agents can range from chemicals to radiation and the HALO® Platform can accommodate virtually the whole range.
Some of the types of hemotoxicity testing that can be performed include, but are not limited to:
- Agents tested individually for acute toxicity.
- Agents tested in combination.
- The effect of agents on different animal hematopoietic organs can be tested over time.
- Patients subjected to environmental toxins can be tested.
Any of these and other types of environmental testing can be performed either on an individual basis or as a screening program for large numbers of compounds on multiple species. We offer the opportunity of allowing us to perform these studies for you using our contract services or you can use any one of our three HALO® Assay Kit Platforms for in-house use. If you choose to use our Assay Kits, we would be happy to provide a short training program that will allow you to start using the HALO® Platform within 2-3 days.
