Cell Lines Sources

Since cells lines are usually derived from spontaneously or genetically modified normal cells that continuously proliferate, CLFluor™ can be used for virtually any mammalian cell line source. CLFluor™ might also be used for Cell lines derived from non-mammalian species.

CLFluor™-96 Principle
  • Incorporates a customized Promega CellTiter Fluor™ reagent that detects protease activity only in living cells. Fluorescence produced only when the GF-AFC substrate is cleaved by protease activity to produce a fluorescence signal proportional to the number of living cells.
  • After culture, just add 100μl of the reagent, mix and measure signal between 30 minutes and 3 hours in a plate reader. Optimal incubation time: 2 hours.
  • Uses a plate fluorometer or multiparameter plate reader to measure fluorescence with an excitation filter of 380-400nm and an emission filter of 505nm.

Cell Line Sources

Since cells lines are usually derived from spontaneously or genetically modified normal cells that continuously proliferate, CLLight™ can be used for virtually any mammalian cell line source. CLLight™ might also be used for Cell lines derived from non-mammalian species.

CLLight™-96 Principle
  • Incorporates a customized Promega CellTiter 96® AQueous One reagent that measures the amount of soluble formazan by absorbance at 490nm produced by a MTS tetrazolium reduction, colorimetric reaction.
  • After culture, just add 20μl of the MTS reagent, mix and read absorbance at 490nm after 1-4 hours in a 96-well plate reader. Plates can be returned to incubator and re-read at a later time for increased sensitivity.
  • No solubilization step as in a MTT reaction. Replaces MTT assays.
  • Read results between 1-4 hours after addition of MTS reagent. Plates can be returned to incubator and re-read at a later time for increased sensitivity.
