At HemoGenix® we believe that in vitro toxicity testing using fresh primary human target cells should be performed at the earliest stages of drug discovery and during ADME/Tox screening. This allows for the greatest predictive value, a potentially lower attrition rate and the most significant savings in time, animals and cost prior to entering clinical trials.
We believe that hemotoxicity testing should not be considered at the bottom of the toxicity list, but near the top, because the response of the lympho-hematopoietic system can be extrapolated to other proliferating systems of the body.
We also believe that virtually every drug, especially those drugs that can affect proliferating systems, should be tested for chronotoxicity and their administration performed using chronomodulated dosing.
We believe that there is no point to using traditional, highly subjective, non-standardized assays when the opposite are available to provide more information in a more rapid, reliable and reproducible manner.
